Apply for Music Teacher  

Africa Ntjilo Empowerment is an eSwatini registered non-profit founded in 2017. we provide 1. music teacher training to eSwatini young adults and 2.afterschool orchestra music program to children. Plus, as a classical music pioneer in the African continent, we founded and are 3.managing the first chamber orchestra in the country and give various performances and orchestra demonstrations within the community. 

The music teacher will receive rigorous musical training and be expected to learn one of the instruments from violin, viola, cello, bass, flute, or trumpet. Based upon his or her performance and training results, will start assisting in managing classes, preparing concert implementing all the other events. 

Roles & Responsibilities

- Attend all training, lessons, and member's meeting on time

- Assist the directors in organizing the class, taking care of students, and executing the concerts and guest performances

- Maintain all musical instruments and equipment in the best quality

- Communicate with parents on student progress during a PTA meeting

- Initiate to interact with parents and students regularly and ensure a safe and virtuous learning environment for students  

- Stay late during the concert season 

Skill Requirements

- Proves decent musical backgrounds and teaching or performing experiences 

- Good sight-reading skill is a big plus

- Knowledge of music theory

- Excellent ability to deal well with a wide range of students and customers

- Very strong internal communication and customer relations skills

- Good organizational skills and multi-tasking ability 

- Prioritizes teamwork and harmony 

- Ability to respect and work around different cultures and international coworkers 

- Works well under pressure and ability to finish the given tasks

- Enthusiastic, flexible, patient, positive, initiative demeanor

Work Condition

- 1 month training period required  

- Compensation to be decided according to the work experience 

Work Hours

- From 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM  

- The semester is opened between beg-Feb to end-April/beg-May to end-July /mid-Sept to mid-Dec
